Placement and Positioning

Patient position: supine

Goniometer axis placement: over the ASIS on the side being measured

Stationary arm placement: along a line between the between the 2 ASISs

Moveable arm placement: parallel to the longitudinal axis of the femur

Normal ROM

Abduction: 0-45°

Adduction: 0-30°
