Placement and Positioning

Patient position: sitting with forearm resting the table

Goniometer axis placement: over the capitate

Stationary arm placement: along the midline of the forearm and Clinician stabilizes the forearm

Moveable arm placement: parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft of the third metacarpal

Normal ROM

Radial Deviation: 20°

Ulnar Deviation: 30°
